Guidelines & General Course Information

Please note the number of days and timeframe for each course; attendees are expected to attend all sessions of a class. The courses listed below are not eligible for continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

Class Format: Classes may be delivered using either:

  • Virtual instructor-led (VILT) online format via Cisco Webex or Microsoft Teams
  • In-person classroom training
  • Hybrid format offering both in-person and VILT options

Please review course and registration information for delivery format before enrolling. To ensure successful participation in VILT courses, attendees should confirm they are able to connect to the designated online application prior to the first day of class.

Hands-on Training: For courses with a hands-on component, attendees will be asked to verify their access to the remote training environment before their registration can be confirmed. Use the hyperlink in the Registration column to access the registration page for the selected course and enter the required information to complete registration. CAPPS Financials Asset Management This course is designed to help agencies maintain physical control over capitalized and controlled assets by performing financial accounting and planning for future asset needs. The CAPPS Asset Management system is a fully integrated system that can reduce data integrity problems and make reconciliation of financial subsystems easier and less time-consuming. It is tailored for individuals who handle salary-related tasks in accordance with statutory guidelines. Administration Policies Course

CAPPS Agency Support CAPPS Service Desk (CSD) This course introduces agency Level 1 support staff to the CAPPS Service Desk (CSD) ticketing system for HR/Payroll and Financials. Agency Level 1s are part of their agency’s internal Service Desk support team for CAPPS (Central Accounting Payroll/Personnel System). The course outlines the key roles and responsibilities of Level 1 support staff and provides an overview of the Service Request (SR) screening process. Participants will learn how to access the system, search for tickets, submit requests, update ticket information, print ticket details and export ticket reports. **Virtual** 1 Day Course:
